Inflection Point Solutions Sponsors 2006 Water and Wastewater CIO Forum

Inflection Point Solutions (IPS), a leading provider of strategic IT consulting services and packaged software implementation in the utility industry, was pleased to serve as a sponsor and conference coordinator for the 2006 Water and Wastewater CIO Forum held at the Los Angeles Bureau of Sanitation Hyperion offices on May 1-3, 2006.

The Forum included twenty-one (21) representatives of mid-sized and large utilities nationwide, including Los Angeles Bureau of Sanitation, Denver Water, Massachusetts Water Resources Authority, Detroit Water and Sewerage Department, among others.  The two and a half day event included a tour of the Hyperion Wastewater Treatment Plant, panel discussions on “Large Systems IT Project Management” and “Building and Maintaining an Effective IT Organization.”  Presentations were also conducted by utility personnel on “Sharing of In-House Developed Software and Other Intellectual Property,” “Making IT and Control Systems Coexist,” “Mobile Computing Practices and Policies,” and “IP Telephony Systems.”

The Planning Committee consisted of Bob Irvin, CIO, Los Angeles Bureau of Sanitation; Chris Dermody, Denver Water; and Corey Williams, Inflection Point Solutions.
